Description

TNMG160408 CBN is a high-performance CBN turning insert designed for machining hardened steels, cast iron, and high-hardness alloy materials. The negative triangular geometry provides 6 cutting edges, ensuring economical machining and long tool life during hard turning operations.

This insert is especially suitable for finish and semi-finish turning of materials above 45 HRC, where conventional carbide inserts wear rapidly. CBN cutting edges provide excellent wear resistance, thermal stability, and dimensional accuracy even at high cutting speeds.

The TNMG160408 CBN insert performs well in:

The 0.8 mm nose radius allows stable cutting and improved surface finish during medium and finish turning applications.
